CBSE Exams 2026 Counseling Service Launched to Reduce Exam Stress

The CBSE exams 2026 counseling service has been launched to help students cope with exam stress ahead of the Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The Central Board of Secondary Education has introduced free psycho-social counseling services to support students’ mental and emotional well-being during the crucial exam period.

CBSE Introduces Psycho-Social Counseling Programme

According to CBSE officials, the initiative aims to address anxiety, emotional pressure, and stress among students preparing for board exams scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026. The Board said these measures will help students maintain confidence, emotional balance, and focus during preparation and examinations.

The first phase of the CBSE exams 2026 counseling service started on January 6 and will continue until June 1. During this period, students will receive guidance to manage stress effectively and maintain mental well-being throughout the theory exams.

24×7 Toll-Free IVRS Support for Students

As part of the program, CBSE has launched a 24×7 toll-free IVRS helpline (1800-11-8004). Through this service, students can access continuous guidance in Hindi and English. The helpline offers practical advice on stress-free preparation, time management, frequently asked exam-related queries, and emotional support.

CBSE officials said the IVRS system ensures that students can seek help anytime, especially during late-night study hours when anxiety often increases.

Tele-Counseling Service With Trained Experts

In addition, CBSE has introduced a tele-counseling service operating from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. A total of 73 trained professionals will provide support, including school principals, counselors, special educators, and qualified psychologists.

Out of these, 61 counselors are based in India, while 12 counselors are located in countries such as Japan, Nepal, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE, ensuring broader accessibility for students studying abroad.

Online Resources for Stress Management

To further assist students, CBSE has uploaded easy-to-understand content on stress management, effective study techniques, and emotional health on its official website. The Board believes these resources will help students develop healthier study habits and reduce exam-related pressure.

With the CBSE exams 2026 counseling service, the Board aims to create a supportive environment where students can focus on learning without overwhelming stress. Follow for more latest updates, FM News.
