Parasakthi Gets Clearance at the Last Moment

The Parasakthi CBFC cuts controversy came into focus after actor Sivakarthikeyan revealed how the team handled 25 last-minute changes just hours before the film’s release. The Parasakthi CBFC cuts controversy highlighted the intense pressure faced by the makers due to the sudden certification demands.

Limited Time and High Pressure

In a recent interview, Sivakarthikeyan said the team faced extreme pressure due to the lack of time. The CBFC communicated the required changes at the very last minute. This left little room to understand the reasoning behind certain cuts. The team also had no time to explain the importance of specific dialogues that were muted.

Release Deadline Became the Priority

The actor explained that the release date could not be pushed under any circumstances. Theatre bookings were already confirmed. Promotions were running across platforms. Because of this, the team chose speed over discussion. Their main focus remained on meeting the release deadline.

“We Worked Like a Military Camp”

Describing the situation, Sivakarthikeyan said the entire unit functioned like a military camp. Every department stayed on standby for nearly 24 hours. Editors, sound engineers, and technicians worked in shifts. He added that while technology has improved, last-minute changes have become harder to execute smoothly.

Protecting the Viewing Experience

Despite the chaos, the team tried to protect the film’s flow. Sivakarthikeyan said the cuts were not completely random. This helped the editors adjust scenes more carefully. The final cut was completed in just 10 hours. According to the actor, the team ensured that the viewing experience did not suffer.

Relief After CBFC Approval

Sivakarthikeyan admitted that the CBFC certificate brought a huge sense of relief. Approval arrived on January 9, just hours before release day. The uncertainty finally ended after days of tension. The team felt reassured once the clearance came through.

Certification Issues Continue in Tamil Cinema

The actor’s comments come amid ongoing certification delays in the Tamil film industry. Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan has also faced CBFC-related hurdles. The film’s planned January 9 release has reportedly been postponed due to unresolved issues.

Parasakthi Box Office Opening

Despite the challenges, Parasakthi opened to respectable numbers at the box office. Industry tracker Sacnilk reported a net collection of ₹12.35 crore in India on day one. The film earned ₹24.70 crore worldwide. The opening reflected strong audience interest despite the pre-release hurdles.
