UP Board Exam AI Invigilators: Phones Banned for Fair Exams

The UP Board Exam AI invigilators system will transform the way Uttar Pradesh conducts board exams in 2025. UPMSP now wants exams that are fair, transparent, and free from cheating. Therefore, the board will use artificial intelligence to assign exam invigilators without human bias.

AI Will Assign Invigilators Smartly

Preparations are moving quickly. Schools will share staff data with the board before the deadline. UPMSP plans to deploy 5,195 teachers and 1,100 council school teachers. The UP Board Exam AI invigilators system will handle the posting process online. Center administrators will not choose invigilators themselves anymore. This prevents favoritism and ensures a fair exam environment everywhere.

New Seating and Duty Rules

A total of 63,111 students will appear for the high school and intermediate examinations. 82 exam centers have been proposed for them.

There will be strict invigilation rules:
  • One room will seat 40 students.
  • Two invigilators will be posted: one internal and one external.
  • If students are more than 40, then three invigilators will be deployed.
  • For girls, female invigilators will be appointed.
  • Only female staff will frisk female candidates.
  • Teachers with relatives appearing in exams will not get posting at the same center.
  • The subject teacher will not invigilate during their own subject exam.

These changes aim to eliminate influence and ensure fairness during exams.

No Mobile Phones for Invigilators

Invigilators cannot bring mobile phones or calculators inside the examination hall. They must deposit their devices at the exam center. Phones will be returned only after the exam is finished. The board believes this measure will stop digital cheating and reduce distractions.

Steps Toward Stronger Exam Integrity

UPMSP wants students to trust the exam system again. With AI, decisions become faster and more accurate. Students also feel safe, especially girls, because female staff will supervise them directly. Moreover, parents support the update since it protects exam fairness.

The UP Board Exam AI invigilators system represents a major improvement. Uttar Pradesh now leads the way in modernizing school examinations. Other states may soon follow this method. The board is moving toward fair, honest, and technology-driven exams that give every student an equal chance to succeed.
